HAMBURG, NY – On Thursday, July 27th, at 2pm representatives of the Erie County Fair and a number of food vendors will gather to celebrate the #1 reason why people attend the Fair… Food! Featuring 126 individual food stands serving up over 500 menu options, the Erie County Fair ranks as Western New York’s largest festival of food. Topics to be discussed will include food related promotional events and the debut of new menu items for the 178th Erie County Fair:
•Erie County Fair Cooks! Kitchen & Shoppe – Debut of the Fair’s new culinary center dedicated to regionally sourced and grown products and to Western New York’s dynamic culinary scene. Each day of the Fair the center will showcase live cooking demonstrations conducted by area chefs, cooking schools, Fair concessionaires and local businesses.
• “New Fair Foods” – We’ll answer the question…”What are you going to deep fry this year?” Plus information about other unique menu items to be featured.
•Independent Health Foundation’s Healthy Options – Explore healthy menu options with select vendors
•4th Annual Taste of the Fair – A “taste-style” menu featuring over 100 Fair foods for $2.00 a serving on Monday, August 14th.
•New Food Showdown – Details on how Fairgoers can vote for their favorite Fair foods on the Fairground’s free app.
•Food Bank of WNY – Information about the Fair’s partnership with Food Bank of WNY Canned Good Drive and how fairgoers can gain free admission on Opening Day, Wednesday, August 9th.
•Erie County Fair Beer – Based on the 2017 Erie County Fair Homebrew Competition Best in Show winner. Beer will be featured during Fair and at locations across Western New York.
