Bob Koshinski, Vice President and General Manager of WBBZ-TV is proud to announce that Luke Tasker will offer reports periodically on his “All Sports WNY” show Tuesday nights at 7:30p.m.(encore Wed. 9a.m.)
If this sounds like a familiar name in WNY, it is. Luke’s father is CBS Sports broadcaster Steve Tasker, former wide receiver and Special Teams Captain for the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1997. Tasker hosted his own TV show locally on WKBW before being signed with the network.
Luke was born and raised in East Aurora, the middle of 5 children with parents Steve and Sarah Tasker. After being named “Athlete of the Year” at Saint Francis High School at Athol Springs in 2009, he was an All-Ivy League selection at Cornell, where he graduated with a communications degree in 2013. Currently, Luke is a wide receiver with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League.
Luke commented, “I look forward to reporting for All Sports WNY with Bob Koshinski, and working with the rest of the staff at WBBZ-TV. My Dad started working with Bob nearly 25 years ago. I am excited to begin my career in a similar way, reporting unique sports stories from my perspective.” Luke’s report on athletes being reviewed by Bills coaches airs March 11th.
Koshinski added, “WBBZ-TV is proud to have Luke as part of our hometown team. He is a rising star on the field and now as a reporter.”
