Buffalo native and Buffalo Broadcast Hall of Famer Joey Reynolds is coming home to Buffalo this week!
Meet him Wednesday night at 7p.m. at our WBBZ-TV studios inside the Eastern Hills Mall. Joey is going to spark the discussion for the taping of our special presentation, "Prescription Pot?" Why? Because Joey produced a documentary on the subject after finding out that his daughter Mercedes is growing marijuana for medical purposes in California. What was his reaction? Why did he decide to produce the video? What did he find out? What does he think? Joey will be joined by experts both pro and con on the subject, as New York embraces the Compassionate Care Act that states marijuana can be used for medical purposes.
Joey is an outspoken broadcaster, having developed the "shock jock" format long before Howard Stern. Joey also keeps current, with topics and technology. He shot his video documentary on medical marijuana with an i-pad in California and New York and titled it "i-Pot."
We would like to have you join the conversation. Visit us at 6:45p.m. Wednesday. Our station is located right next to Macy's. The Eastern Hills Mall is located at 4545 Transit Road in Clarence. Joey will be available to meet and greet after the taping, which is expected to last until 8:30p.m.
If you can not make that, then you might want to head on over to Chef's Italian Restaurant Friday at Noon when Joey will hold court with the Buffalo Broadcasters Association. You can reserve tickets by going to www.buffalobroadcasters.org.
If you don't know who Joey is. Get to know him. Read all about him. He is one of a kind.
His real name is Joey Pinto, and he went from South Buffalo to Philadelphia, Miami, New York and beyond!
