WBBZ-TV is WNY\u2019s only locally owned and operated, full power television station. Our station is a MeTV affiliate, America\u2019s #1 all-classic network. In addition, WBBZ produces a wide array of award-winning local programming, offering our advertisers a one-of-a-kind marketing opportunity. The goal of this company is to provide content that is uplifting and informative to the WNY community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Overview<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each member of our team is passionate about their role at our station, and it shows in the content we produce. We are looking to add a member to our sales team who is equally motivated and looks to work in an environment of people who genuinely care about their work and each other. Being locally owned and operated, our priorities are to our top-notch team and to our community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Responsibilities for the Account Executive role include managing an existing account base, new business generation, cold calling, relationship building, and regular visits to customer (and prospective customer) locations for in-person meetings. Candidates must be adept at proposal preparation and presentation to a diverse customer base. The role requires excellent organization, communication, and time management skills. The ideal candidate will be a socially motivated person who thrives on presenting to groups and driving revenue in a fast-paced environment. Prior media sales experience is a plus.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Identify, develop, and establish new client relationships<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Expand existing relationships & key accounts<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Create targeted customer presentations<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Make regular in-person sales calls to customer sites<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ensure a clear and thorough understanding of customer needs and recommend solutions that will deliver outstanding results<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Negotiate advertising rates and generate advertising packages<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Weekly development of new leads and outbound outreach<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Maintain detailed account activity in Salesforce including sales cycle progress, account updates, and revenue forecasting<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Meet or exceed established targets for sales activity and sales revenue<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Specialized Skills and Experience Required:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Experience developing strategies and successfully executing to achieve long-range objectives<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Strong communication and presentation skills<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Strong problem solving and organizational skills<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Strong negotiation skills<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Experience in sales<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Media and Ad sales experience is a plus, but not required.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Valid driver\u2019s license with a safe driving record<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 A high level of proficiency with computers, smartphones, and business-related applications like Office or Google Docs. Salesforce experience is strongly preferred<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
