Get Christie Love!<\/b><\/i> is a 1974 made-for-television film<\/a> starring Teresa Graves<\/a> as an undercover female police detective<\/a> who is determined to overthrow a drug ring. This film is based on Dorothy Uhnak’s<\/a> crime<\/a>–thriller<\/a> novel The Ledger.<\/i><\/p>\n

The film was inspired by the 1970s heroine<\/a> blaxploitation<\/a> films such as Tamara Dobson<\/a>‘s Cleopatra Jones<\/a><\/i> (1973), and Pam Grier<\/a>‘s Coffy<\/a><\/i> (1973) and Foxy Brown<\/a><\/i> (1974). The title character had a catchphrase<\/a>; upon apprehending a criminal, Love would declare, “You’re under arrest, Sugah!” The film proved a success, and consequently spawned a short-lived television series<\/a> on the ABC network<\/a> (23 episodes from January 22, 1974-April 5, 1975).<\/p>\n
