Is Buffalo a City Under Siege as our hometown deals with the growing opioid and heroin addiction crisis? That’s the topic of a special presentation of \u201cTalk With Your Mouth Full,\u201d hosted by veteran reality television host Andrew Dan Jumbo Sunday night at 6p.m on WBBZ-TV, Your Hometown MeTV Station. Viewers will recognize this Buffalo resident from his many appearances on cable television.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Andrew Dan Jumbo welcomes community experts coping with this crisis to the dinner table, including <\/span>Charles Syms, LCSW\/ACSW <\/span>Clinical Associate Professor, University at Buffalo, School of Social Work; Debra Smith Mother & Erie County Probation Officer who lost her son to addiction; Frank Scarpinato Environmental Compliance Specialist at Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH); and Karl Wende, Ph.D. Population Health Scientist, SUNY Buffalo State, Institute for Community Health Promotion offer life saving information.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The concept of \u201cTalk With Your Mouth Full\u201d is that a topic is discussed over dinner. The guests will dine on Mediterranean Pasta with Chicken, prepared by Chef Paul Tsoflidis from Acropolis Opa Restaurant. Chef Paul appears in the opening segment showing viewers how to prepare the meal. The meal is served and the conversation begins. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to watching on television, the community is invited to have this conversation at the Acropolis Opa Restaurant Sunday night at 6p.m while the \u201cTalk With Your Mouth Full\u201d program is airing. The restaurant is located at 708 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. Tickets are just $15 each. Participants can dine on the same meal served on the show, or something else from the Acropolis menu.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
