This is the fourth of four programs to originate from the Jamestown Center. Hundreds of bowlers rolled in qualifier games to compete for a place on the show. In addition to the Niagara Awards trophy, winners receive 4 tickets to the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival coming to Jamestown August 4<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> through the 7<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeat The Champ\u201d is co-hosted by veteran sportscaster Paul Peck and Greater Buffalo USBC Association Hall of Fame bowler Sue Nawojski. Peck worked for decades at \u201cNews 4\u201d before becoming a financial advisor and play-by-play broadcaster for the UB Bulls football team. Nawojski remains active in the area bowling scene, notably at Transit Lanes. Singer \/ model Janelle Sabin counts up the pins on the Castilone Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Scoreboard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a> \u201cBeat The Champ\u201d was recently recognized by the New York State Broadcasters Association with top honors for \u201cCoverage of a Sporting Event.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeat The Champ\u201d is produced by WBBZ-TV with the WNY Bowling Proprietors. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
