Dear Friends & Veteran Advocates,
Retired Veteran Terry McGuire proud to partner with WBBZ-TV in presenting the only Western New York media project designed to highlight Veterans, with information on support services in our hometown, “THOSE WHO SERVE”
Each episode has highlighted Veterans and their stories including former prisoner of war and WWII Veteran Casey Bukowski…shared the journey of Dr. John Long from his time in WWII to his time helping those in Western New York…Brigadier General Anthony Tata ( U.S. Army, retired) who not only had a distinguished military career, but is now a celebrated author….and many other guests.
We also talked with a counselor from Crisis Services about the critical issue of suicide prevention… featured the only African American female U2 spy plane pilot…and a Vietnam Vet who talked candidly about his life changing experience while being held as a POW.
Plus, we meet Veterans who have turned their lives around through the programs and services offered through various Western New York agencies…and offer information on where Veterans and their families can go for assistance.
The February episode of “Those Who Serve” will air on WBBZ-TV 5
Friday February 20th at 8pm
Saturday February 21st at 12:30pm
