It was a great celebration of the 21-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers Monday night on a special edition of "The Fred Jackson Show" on WBBZ-TV. Miss the LIVE show? It will air again Monday at 11p.m. - Tuesday at 9a.m.- and this coming Sunday at 11a.m.
It was special, because due to a family commitment the Bills star RB Fred Jackson was not available to be on his show. Instead, Safety Aaron Williams ( and good friend of the Jackson family ) with WR Robert Woods were welcomed by Bob Koshinski.
It was a full house at our Eastern Hills Mall studio, where fans gathered for "The Bucky and Sully Show" at 6:30p.m. ( Buffalo News sports columnists Bucky Gleason and Jerry Sullivan made a surprise appearance at the top of the show ). DJ Dave Jickster from 97 Rock was in the audience taking questions, and Brad Gelber searched social media for the best Twitter questions.
Fans young and old got to meet the players, and even "Santa Fan" made an appearance.
Woods talked about his two spectacular catches in the game, and his great season overall. Williams talked about what it was like to win with such a loud hometown crowd, and what the win meant to Fred - who was seen in a photo leaving the "Ralph" with his son.
Williams and Woods talked about the trek out west later this week when the Bills face the Oakland Raiders.
Fred will be back for a special Christmas edition of his show Monday December 22nd at 7p.m. The studio audiences for the shows are SOLD OUT, but you can watch on Channel 67.1 over-the-air; Time Warner Cable Ch 5 ( HD 1230 ); FiOS 5; Dish 5; and DirecTV67.
